One password, two sites
The members' portal and the events site stay where they are. The new site links out to them; you log in to the events site with your portal credentials.
The rules, by name
The documents themselves stay on the club wiki and the members' portal. This is the list, so you know what exists and where to look.
The Club Byelaws are in the list. Two come up most often: byelaw 27c, which requires a copy of current and sufficient insurance with every boat-lift application, and byelaw 29, under which no craft may be moored on the pontoon without the permission of the Harbour Master or an Officer of the club.

Car park rules
Display the rondel
The club has use of the car park just the other side of the footpath as you approach the club by road. GYC does not own or manage it, but has a licence to use it under the rules below. The property owners employ a parking management company whose wardens issue tickets, and the club is not responsible if you get one.
- All weekend (midnight Friday through midnight Sunday) and Tuesday evening (6pm to 11pm) the entire car park is available to the club. Park anywhere as long as you display the club parking rondel, ideally inside the front window.
- Outside those times, members may use the spaces on the right hand side (the club side) except the last one, as long as the rondel is displayed. The other spaces are reserved for residents and may only be used if the member spaces are full; take a photo showing the right side is full when you park.
- Parking rondels are available from the Membership Secretary. Guests can sometimes be issued with dated parking permits.
- The yard is not a car park. If you must drive into the yard, leave a note with your mobile number in the window, stay with the vehicle, or leave your keys in the white post box outside the Harbour Master's office. Do not leave the premises with your car in the yard: it can stop the lifting equipment being used.

The Clubhouse, at members' rates
The Clubhouse is a wonderful place to host a private party or event. For members, special terms apply.

Manager, bar staff and floor staff must be paid for the length of the booking plus one hour to allow for set up and breakdown, subject to a minimum of five hours.
Booking
- All costs must be paid before the night of the event.
- A non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to hold any date.
- Once a booking is made you will receive a signed contract and it will be confirmed by email.
Who can book
- Members must be a fully paid up member for at least one year to qualify for any discounts on venue hire.
- Any member can only book one event per calendar year.
- No member can book an event on a Saturday unless agreed by the committee. Members may book an event on behalf of a family member for a Saturday, but this still constitutes their yearly booking.
- Members may not book their company party or association party in order to receive the discount rate.
- Events cannot be booked for Tuesday evenings, and weekend events cannot start before 7pm.
- After the clubhouse closing time, members do not have the right to remain in the club bar.
Catering
- Members can bring in their own food for cooking or precooked, as long as the use of any kitchen equipment is supervised by a kitchen manager from The Willo Project.
- The kitchen and galley area must be cleaned and returned to its original state before you leave. Kitchen porters are available on request.
- Crockery and cutlery is only available on request and may be subject to charges.
- The Willo Project offers a wide range of caterers for all budgets; speak to Andrew Priori about your catering requirements. You may use your own external caterers subject to the terms and conditions (6.1, 6.2 and 6.3).
Drinks and equipment
- Drinks prices will be at event rates for private events; ask the venue manager for the full bar tariff. For club activities prices remain at normal club rates.
- No drinks may be brought on to the premises unless otherwise agreed by the venue manager.
- You may bring in a DJ and/or AV equipment as long as the equipment has been PAT tested within six months, or the contractor has insurance for all their equipment with a minimum £2m public liability.

Ask before you lift
Our yard is a members' facility, not a commercial yard. We have limited space and encourage members to make their stay as short as possible.
- All boats coming into the yard, whether by river or road, may only do so with the Yardmaster's permission.
- Members wishing to bring their boat into the yard must fill in the online application form on the members' portal. The lift date requested is not guaranteed until confirmed by the Yardmaster; make contact with the yard team verbally before the day.
- Every boat-lift application must be accompanied by a copy of current and sufficient insurance (byelaw 27c).
Yard movement requests are raised through the members' portal. Yard fees are worked out from a base rate of £75 per metre per year: see fees and charges.
